Hey folks,
just a quick shout from the basement — Chipmate is alive!
What started as a crazy idea over coffee (and too many late-night tracker jams) has now shaped into a real project.
Chipmate is our little homage to the demoscene and chipmusic culture. Think: trackers, scrolling hex rows, crunchy samples, greets, scrollers — all that vibe, but streamed and playable on modern gear (and even on a tiny handheld in a walkman shell if you like 🤘).
The vision is simple:
- Render modules with the best cores → store pristine FLACs → sidecar events for visuals.
- Navidrome as backend, authentic tracker UI as frontend.
- Covers, skins, even hardware shells — all remixable, extendable, community-owned.
No rush. No deadlines. Just scene.
Chipmate is so scene.
